SPARE by Prince Harry

Magnificent account of the troubled Windsors.

I read this feeling deeply antagonised by the wretched UK Press’s treatment of Megan, which was worse than one could have imagined.  It took weeks to read this very long book, but the experience was to be totally absorbed by it, a complete page-turner.

Absolutely brilliant, extremely well written, completely gripping.  Apparently ghost-written, the writing was achieved to a very high standard.  Fascinating background and a lot of laugh-out-loud humour.  At the centre of the book is the Greek Tragedy image of a spoilt and vicious family breaking apart.

The odious attacks and smears on Meghan make the blood boil and are deeply shaming.  The diabolical cruelties of Willy and Charles are incredibly disturbing. This was truly a family from hell. Intense sympathy and compassion for Meghan and Harry, who was very restrained in the telling; he let the record speak for itself and hoped for the best in people, especially his father, who always called Harry ‘darling boy’ and whose betrayal was spectacular.

A remarkable book.
