We were recently asked whether Donald Trump is a clown who has gone power crazy or whether he has a strategy? My response to that is that he has proved himself a Killer Clown, and I do not acknowledge the boundaries of the question!
Notwithstanding the temporary lull in hostilities in the Gulf of Hormuz, this argument about the huge number of deaths caused by one man still stands.
If T has a strategy, then it appears to be rather haphazard, but at its core it is to adopt dictatorial powers as far as possible and use them as follows: to brazenly oppose and overturn whatever may be seen as the liberal democratic will, and create a macro-environment of chaos and uncertainty, whereby the previously unthinkable is suddenly doable (by him and his cronies).
A Killer Clown
The main purpose has been to amass wealth in his supporters’ and family’s hands via overturning progressive taxation and corruptly directing Government contracts, tariffs, military power and influence to support this objective, whilst legally protecting his nearest and dearest from any later repercussions. So far, he has been largely successful, albeit with setbacks which have not derailed his overall project.
But I reject the suggestion that he is, or could be, merely a clown. He is developing into a scourge of his own people and (more so) the rest of Humanity, and to me his primary characteristic is that he is both openly and otherwise, a Killer. A Killer across races and generations, whose true impact is rarely consolidated and broadcast as bluntly as I will now do. Borrowing a phrase from another, ‘Let me count the ways’ …..
- By junking the JCPOA (Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action) agreed between the US, Iran and others, thus setting the scene for later attacks by the US and Israel on Iran. Deaths and destruction thereby visited on all players, including Iran, the US and Israel, and multiple US bases and allies across the region.
- By 100% complicity in the genocide in Gaza via funding, billions in armaments and the US diplomatic cover making pushback by other nations broadly ineffectual.
- By overturning green initiatives in the USA, prioritising fossil fuel expansion and dismantling climate science and policy. It will be possible in future years to estimate Trump and DOGE’s impact on climate change and relate this to graphs of deaths from climate change and identify what these extra deaths have been over time. Do not expect a small number.
- By underwriting continuing vicious Zionist policies in the Middle-East, with accumulating deaths in several countries over and above the US/Israel/Iran war.
- By cancelling USAID programs, which could, according to Google AI and other estimates, lead to roughly 14-23 million additional deaths worldwide by 2030 – and pretty obviously many more beyond.
- By empowering US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to round up and deport immigrants, often ignoring due process. Deaths caused directly by ICE are greater than in previous years, and some deportees are certainly being returned to countries where they will be in far increased danger from both poverty and local repression. No estimates of excess deaths are available (that I know of).
- By indirect consequences from the US/Israel/Iran war via food, energy, fertiliser and other commodity prices. There is already significant hardship in certain countries, and this will obviously get worse before it gets better. Some commentators estimate that non-resolution of this conflict could lead to mass-starvation and a world recession in due course – it is purely a matter of time. Trump has specifically said that he is unconcerned by economic consequences in the US; it is hard to see that he is unduly bothered by hardship elsewhere.
- Efforts to quash abortion and women’s contraception in the USA and under USAID programs cause major collateral damage. The website ‘Population Connection’ reports that withholding contraception from vulnerable women leads to more abortions, suffering and some suicides. https://populationconnection.org/
- Ukraine’s war effort against Russia attracted significant support from President Biden. Many of these promises have been unfulfilled, causing military hardware shortages at key times, and leaving civilian infrastructure vulnerable with depleted air defences. Vladimir Putin has been emboldened by his close relationship with T to prolong this horrendous war.
- Finally, T has various side-hustles (though these have major consequences for those affected.) Projects such as Venezuela and Cuba are ongoing, but meantime, do remember to finish off any survivors struggling for life in the water.
In short, this is no Clown. Let us see him and his corrupt administration for what they are, probably the greatest threat to world peace and prosperity in any short to medium term horizon.
I would settle for ‘Killer Clown’. Followers of this genre of horror films will know that things do not turn out well!
‘Falcon’

I feel it has taken us too long to count up the casualties in the wake of this US President. So hats off to this article! No need to ponder the inner psyche of Donald Trump. We just have to look at his lethal influence on his fellow human beings.
This should be a matter of deep shame to the “United” States. It has held a kind of commercial and military imperium over the world for many decades, backed by a claim of the superiority of American liberal values. This moral claim is in shreds.
There is a close similarly between Trump’s actions and those of Woodrow Wison, who was President of the US from 1913-1921. Wilson had a deep-seated Southern prejudice about African Americans. In foreign policy, Wilson adhered to elitist nationalism that favoured exclusion over unity. The only difference between Trump and Wilson is superficial – Trump acts like a clown, while Wilson had a scholarly demeanour.
